SYNOPSIS
A story
about learning to care for yourself.
Amaya joins her friend Telmo for a day of play in which he learns that the mind is like an engine that needs energy to keep going. With warmth and a strong sense of companionship, Amaya shows him that talking, playing and asking for help are essential ways to care for mental health.
THE PROJECT

The short film approaches children’s mental health through emotional care and the closeness of friendship. The story follows its characters on a small everyday journey in which talking about how we feel becomes a natural way to move forward.
The animation combines humour, tenderness and adventure to connect with children, families and educators, opening up a simple conversation about the importance of asking for help.

SuperEscolares 2. Una mente sana was created in collaboration with ICTAN-CSIC, with a screenplay by researcher Raquel Mateos and funding from FECYT. This partnership brings scientific rigour to the project and connects public research with new forms of audiovisual outreach aimed at children.
